This patient had been previously enrolled in the Johnson & Johnson Patient Assistance Program (JJPAF) for free Stelara. At the start of 2023, JJPAF stopped taking patients with insurance, so our patient advocate had to work with the patient to seek new coverage. Janssen started a new program offering the same coverage. After the enrollment process was completed, our patient advocate did not hear anything for a couple months. During this time, the patient would call or text for updates, but was always kind and understood the timely process. 

One day, our patient advocate received a text from the patient that he was "totally mystified about" a shipment notice from the Wegman Pharmacy Janssen uses to ship free drugs. The patient advocate contacted the patient that the shipment indicated Janssen approved him without notifying his provider. The shipment arrived the very next day. The patient was very grateful and brought our patient advocate to tears with kind words of appreciation.
