Thank you so much for helping us - we truly appreciate everything you do.

A 17-year-old patient had just started Inflectra infusions for her Chron’s Disease and had a monthly copay of about $500. Her clinic’s pharmacy reached out to our patient advocate to see if we could help with the payments. Our advocate was able to get her enrolled after speaking with her father and gaining consent, getting her copays down to a much more affordable $120 a month. But later, the patient's treatment needed to be switched from Inflectra to another medication, Stelara.

The patient's father called our advocate and asked what she knew about Stelara: How often were the treatments? How did the at home portions of the treatments work? Was there co-pay assistance with this medication?

After speaking with him and assuring him that the pharmacy would be happy to answer his medical questions, she shared that the Janssen Stelara program was very similar to the program they were currently enrolled in.

He immediately asked if she could help get them on that program - which our advocate happily did. To date, she has been able to get nearly $2,200 covered in payments for her infusions, which will come out to $9,100 a year. The family calls our advocate nearly every week to get updates on what she is doing for them, and are always so grateful for the help available to them – for both the programs and the advocates who go above and beyond.
