Disease/diagnosis: Advanced Stage Colorectal Cancer Bone Metastasis

Drug(s): Xgeva

Program(s): Amgen

Cost covered: $6,000

Sweetheart, you are a true angel on earth. A huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Because of you, I can live a while longer to enjoy my grandkids.

She had no insurance. She was scared, worried, wondering how to pay her bills and even contemplated if she should take treatment, or let nature take its course. After meeting with her and listening to all of her concerns, I reassured her that I would do everything in my power to secure the best medical financial aid for her. She was on my mind every day, and I called to check on her often. We built a good relationship as we talked, laughed and even cried together.

After searching through Atlas’ database of 20,000+ programs and quickly enrolling her, she was finally approved for very needed, high cost chemo drugs. I called the patient to share the good news, and she was so grateful, thankful and relieved. It isn’t a job when you love what you do. Impacting people’s lives daily. It is a blessing!
